Christine Hronec is the co-owner and food scientist of Muscle Gauge Nutrition, a dietary supplement manufacturing company based out of Philadelphia and the founder of Gaugegirl Training, an online meal planning, training, and coaching service.
Christine graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering in 2005, getting her start with Fortune 100 Company DuPont as a Process Engineer, being the only female engineer under 40 in a building of over 500 scientists! Changing industries in 2008 with a desire to focus on health based sciences, Christine served as Senior VP of Research, Development, and Manufacturing of Nuvilex, Inc., a company focused on the use of biotechnology to engineer safe and natural products in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.
Having an entrepreneurial spirit, Christine utilized her engineering background to establish a cGMP certified dietary supplement production facility with two business partners to manufacture the Muscle Gauge Nutrition brand as well as private labeled supplements for domestic and international distribution. Christine’s passion for nutrition and fitness was sparked in the lab where she formulated sports nutrition supplements for Muscle Gauge Nutrition and many other popular commercial brands. As a former marathon runner and self proclaimed “cardio junkie”, Christine grew frustrated logging in hours and hours of weekly cardio without achieving her desired physique goal of having 6 pack abs and lean muscle definition.
Putting her science to the test, and much research and consultation with fitness professionals and nutrition industry experts, Christine took 2nd place at her first NPC Bikini Competition in a show of over 40 competitors and became a nationally qualified NPC Competitor after only 9 weeks of targeted training and nutrition. After competing at the GNC National Bodybuilding Championships she considers herself officially addicted to the blood, sweat, and tears of the bikini competitor lifestyle. Christine’s current goal is to turn pro and utilize scientific principles to provide women the proper tools and guidelines to reach their fitness goals.
